Kong Han Athletic Club (光漢國術舘) was founded in 1937 by Dr. Lo Yan Chiu (盧言秋) and has been a significant cultural institution serving the Filipino-Chinese community in Binondo, Manila for over 80 years. Dr. Lo Yan Chiu founded Kong Han Athletic Club with a strict moral standard and required that members maintain themselves in accordance with the character values that served as a creed for the club. Rén (仁) benevolence, charity, and humaneness; Yì (義) righteousness, justice, and honesty; Lǐ (禮) etiquette, courtesy, proper rite; Zhì (智) knowledge and wisdom; Xìn (信) integrity and honesty.

Today, Kong Han branches across the globe strive to preserve the legacy and expectations of Dr. Lo Yan Chu by emphasizing both character development and a level of excellence in Ngo Cho Kun Kung Fu among members.
